Independent Contractors
Litchfield Pilates & Integrative Health offers its studio space to a few independent contractors who lead meditation sessions and yoga classes. Read about them below.
Victoria Sahadevan Fossland
Yoga and Meditation Instructor
Victoria comes to Litchfield Pilates and Integrative Health with a professional background in medicine and creative writing, although if you already know her, you probably realize she has many interests. She received her 200hr registered yoga teacher (RYT) training certificate at Nexus Institute Yoga & Wellness, a 5-star Yoga Alliance training school in Nosara, Costa Rica. There, Victoria trained under Janel and Horace Usry, whose teaching lineage extends directly through Amba and Don Stapleton to Amrit Desai, the founder of Kripalu. To this lineage, Victoria adds that of her paternal grandfather, who was himself regarded as a swami in Kerala, India.
Victoria practiced yoga for over a decade before earning the 200hr RYT certification, which she undertook thinking she would merely deepen her personal practice. She surprised herself by discovering she enjoyed leading classes: teaching yoga & meditation allows her to bring a more holistic approach to helping people care for themselves.
Victoria has lived in Litchfield County for 30 years with her husband and son. You’ll often find her out and about with her dog, Zug, in tow.
She hopes you’ll join her on the mat.

Michelle Saltz
Meditation Instructor
I offer in person meditation which I have coined Meditative Breathwork. It is a gentle practice through which I guide a group through words and music to connect with their own breath and the sensations in the body, quieting the mind and anchoring into the present moment. Learning how to resource by tapping into the present moment is one of the most powerful ways I have found to regulate my own nervous system and those of others. It has lead to a happier, healthier, more authentic and grounded lifestyle for myself and those that have devoted themselves to the practice.

I have been meditating for over a decade after first learning Transcendental Meditation, and then branching out into other meditative techniques with a variety of teachers. For the past 4 years, I have immersed myself in my own breathwork practice with my mentor, Madeline Giles and have fine-tuned my meditation practice and become a certified breathwork facilitator as well.
In 2022 I began offering Meditative Breathwork to a group of women out of my home studio in Kent, CT and since then, have had the gift of sharing it with dozens of women in my community. Seasoned meditators as well as those who never thought they would have the patience to sit and meditate have been able to find stillness and peace within themselves through this process, become devotees to this type of breathing and self attunement in community, and deepen their relationships with themselves and each other.
It is my honor, pleasure and privilege to bring this gift to my community.
